What are you thankful for?

With everything that has gone on this year with our football team our Tech football family has never been more fractured, and yet we persevere. Out of love and fervor for our university we come to this site and many others and we exchange, and, dare I say, argue our ideas and our points of view. Most of the time this is done in good nature and with all due respect, and other times it is not…. In the end we are all family and we all love our university. I have become one of the most negative on the site lately and I may or may not change this season, but I appreciate the opportunity to come to this board and express my heartfelt frustrations and occasional happiness with our program. I am also proud and thankful that I live in a country where I am able to do that.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families. I also wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Red Raiders serving our country all over the globe. I know we have a few that read and post to this site from time to time, and to you I say Thank You for your many sacrifices!

Sometimes I forget that this is just football. These are kids that are going out and giving their all for themselves, their family, and for the school we all love, and we need to make sure and support THEM in every way that we can no matter what our personal feelings may be about our coaches, or administration.

The things and the people that really matter will be seated around us or heavy on our minds and in our hearts on this day and we should all feel blessed for everything we have today, and every other day.

I hope our season ends on a positive note and that next year brings even better things for Texas Tech, our football program, and more importantly for each of you and your families!

Happy Thanksgiving!
