What's with all the punts?

Half way through Tubb's first season with TT, the Red Raiders have already punted the ball (30 times) as much as they did all season in 2007 (30) and 2008 (26). In 2009, TT had 46 punts. TT has gone from averaging 2 punts per game to this year's 5; and we had 5 punts in just the 1st Qrt against OSU. The link is to the NCAA's 2008 Net Punt statistics; Tech is found at the bottom - one category TT shouldn't mind bringing up the rear.
