* Post-Practice Press Conference Tommy Tuberville: Good to be back on the field. Have some guys that are going to have to play this week young guys. Offensively, we have guys that just need to go through a week without contact. Beautiful day and we know what we have instore for us in Boulder. Christopher Knighton is going to play, Tahrick Peak, Brent Dewhurst and need to get Franklin Mitchem healthy. Bobbie Agoucha is going to play this week. Probably have 30 blue jerseys. Cut back in contact about 3 weeks ago, and you know about the mid-point of the season. Sheffield is back at quarterback and he thinks he likes receiver. Trying to get him over to linebacker or free safety. Tre' Porter is getting better at safety, he made us look like first-year players. Starting to play a little faster. The receivers, some have played off of us pretty good, sometimes you have to break a tackle and make a play. That's big in any passing offense. RB Eric Stephens: Very good defense in Colorado. We are just trying to stay focused on the game ahead. Went 0-10 and 2-8 in high school. Have to take it one game at a time. The running game has gotten much better and it's been successful, must get the offense on the same page together. Been practicing hard lately. Receivers are doing a great job of blocking down the field. Running backs are just reading what they are supposed to read. They have good defensive backs, average linemen, they hustle. S Tre' Porter: Told himself to step it up a bit, not play like a freshman. Rotate all of the positions, and easy to rotate to safety. Pretty good to get so much playing time in only 6 games. They trusted me when they came in to recruit me. They will run the ball until death do you part. * LAJ's Don Williams | A little YAC would go a long way for Raiders * LAJ's Don Williams | Red Raiders Football Notebook * DT's Mike Graham | Tech to play younger defense at CU * RB Baron Batch | Raiders getting ready to scrap their way out of tough spot * Daily Camera's Kyle Ringo | CU Buffs optimistic, Tyler Hansen hopes for 'real special end of the year' * Denver Post's Tom Kensler | Hawkins' hot seat not the hot topic * Daily Camera's Neill Woelk | Long term not a concern for CU players
DTN was down a bit when I needed to be writing. A preview of the Texas Tech offense vs. the Colorado defense will be coming up later this morning.
