First year QB's first starts comparison

 

Harrell’s first game he went 34/49 342 yards 7.0 avg 5 td’s and 1 int.  The main difference was the rushing he had 138 yards total for the offense against SMU.  The score for that game was 3 SMU 35 TTU.

 

Hodges first game was against Florida International.  He went 29 of 37 454 yrds 12.3 avg with 4 td’s and 0 int’s.  He also had help on the ground with 135 yards rushing.  That final score was FIU 3 TTU 56

 

Cumbie’s first start was against SMU, he threw 40/66 for 470 yrds, 7.1 avg, 4 td’s, and 0 int’s.  He didn’t get much help from the running game as the team had 67 yrds but Cumbie had -10 of that.

 

Symons’s Start against SMU was 23/38 for 297 yrds, 7.8 avg, 3 td’s and 1 int.  The backs gave him 123 yrds on the ground.  The score was SMU 10 TTU 58.

 

And last we have Pott’s first game.  He went 34/48 for 405 yrds, 8.4 avg, 2 td and we all know 3 ints.  With the backfield getting a combined 40 yrds on the ground, Potts didn’t get much help from them this game.
