Sad news for a couple of stellar former Red Raiders. Zach Thomas was released by Kansas City, possibly ending his amazing pro career. And Danny Amendola was released by Philly, possibly putting an end to his NFL dream before he played a regular season game.
Thomas was injured (nobody seems to be saying what the injury was) and was a non-factor. Amendola did well, though he dropped an easy TD in the pre-season. He may end up on the practice squad again if he's not claimed off waivers.
