Why there are no live streaming games

This is an email exchange answering the question. How great is it that he answered my email in less than 20 minutes.... Obviously if you want to read the whole thing start the conversation from the bottom

Ryan -- Here's the conference answer: Cannot conflict or bleed in to any exclusive TV windows. Basically cannot go up against any TV games from the conference package. Again, Iowa State has one that begins after a conference package has begun, so that may be an exception. I hope this helps. Ryan -- You hit the nail on the head. Rights have everything to do with it. The Big 12 television contract does not allow for independent airing of games, especially when up against another Big 12 game that has been selected as part of the conference package. I will work on a more definitive answer today. I noticed this morning that Iowa State has a non-conference game on a regional network that butts against an FSN Big 12 game. I'm not sure how they were able to do this, but will find out for you.

Mr. Cook

I wanted to ask the likelihood of there being live streamed games
available this year for football. I am a season ticket holder but I
live in the Dallas area and cannot make it to Lubbock for each game,
just out of curiosity why are there no games available for us to watch
as of now? I'm sure it has something to do with "rights" but with
the amount of alumni willing to pay for online games as far away from
Lubbock as we are......I was just wondering

Thank you
