Texas Tech has gained the verbal commitment of Dartwan Bush, a DT for Clute Brazoswood, according to the AJ. He had an excellent visit at Tech along with a few other athletes this past weekend. Also, V.J. Fehoko, Sam's little brother, has strengthened his opinion of Tech and could soon make a committment. Bush, 6-foot-1 and 255 pounds, was selected by the coaches in District 24-5A as the league’s most valuable player, as he was probably the biggest single factor in this year’s charge by Brazoswood into the Regional playoffs. He had 81 tackles, 30 tackles for loss and 15 sacks this season.
Fehoko, whom we are all a bit more familiar with by now, also had a very good visit, being escorted by his brother. At 5-foot-11, 225 pounds, Fehoko could vie for the strongside linbacker spot if he signs, enabling him to play alongside his brother.
Concerning the football team's outlooks for next year, the AJ also has an article about theredshirt receivers for Tech. Apparently, the coaches have witnessed the new group, including plit end Eric Ward, flanker Derrick Mays, “Y’’ inside receiver Aaron Fisher and “H’’ inside receiver Ernest Celestie, who have built the expectations of the coaches.
All of this in the AJ. It is just enough info to whet our appetites as we look forward to next year. Go there and read, it will be worth your time and get you excited for our Red Raiders.
