If I'm not mistaken, I played against this guy in Highschool. I remember the name (I will explain why below), just not what class he was in. If he is graduating HS from Frankston this year that would mean he was a freshman when I played him. I'm fairly sure this is the guy because we kind of had a bit of a scuffle on the field as they beat us out of playoff contention my senior year. Never forget the name of a guy you fight right? If he was indeed a freshman, he could be scary good 3 years later. From what I recall about him, he was a pretty good sized kid that used his hands very well. The type that seems to give O-lines like Tech's (stand up and constantly push the D back) fits. He came off low and hard, but kept his head up to swat away hands. He also played with tons and tons of heart. He was extremely angry any time he got blocked (probably why we got into it). Only bad thing I really have about him is he played a bit dirty, but I wouldnt mind that so much if he were not playing against me. He pulled a Brandon Spikes and went at my eyes after I took him to the ground (Not really a pancake, more of a "im blocking im blocking, oh s*** he's got me beat, I better cut and roll"). I responded by giving him knuckles to the throat on the next down, and then the fun started. I can honestly say he was the best D Tackle I ever matched up against, perfect combination of speed and strength. At one point he chased down the sweep to the opposite side, this after I rubbed inside of him to go second level. If he has had 3 years to mature, he could definitely earn some playing time next season. He is defintely the type to play with emotion and get the entire D around him riled up and ready to go.
