This is a typical Tech team that always gives away one inexplicable loss for the season. We did it right last year, and did not have a “mental breakdown” in a game that was expected to be W in the win column.
I am not one to criticize an individual player all the time, but I have always though Potts was not the field general most fans anticipated. To me he does not possess the “it” factor that ESPN analysts love to reference. I relish when Sheffield is on the field because you get the sense of excitement that he brings. The guy wears his emotions on his sleeves. He has the “it” factor. Same can be said about Harrell, and that translates into victories for Tech. I feel Leach should let Doege start in place of the injured Sheffield and leave Potts on the bench.
I think when Sheffield returns Tech will again impress with a team that is fun to watch. Hopefully he is willing to step up at the helm and lead us to victory when given his second chance.
