Here are the stats for the two teams Tech and OSU have played in common this year.

| ATM | 215 | 186 | 111 | 450 | 401 | 561 | 160 |
| Texas | 113 | 199 | 105 | 474 | 312 | 579 | 267 |

| ATM | 184 | 218 | 20 | 286 | 402 | 306 | -96 |
| Texas | 113 | 391 | 80 | 294 | 504 | 374 | -130 |
As evidenced by the numbers, Tech has outgained their opponents by an average 213.5 yards this season and held them to an average 113 yards less per contest.
Against A&M, OSU had 2 defensive INTs returned for TDs and one punt returned for a TD. Seems this made the difference between their "blowout" of A&M and Tech's "struggle." The numbers do not support OSU as lining up and playing better on either side of the ball in either contest.
OSU did have 112 more rushing yards between the 2 games, but it is somewhat dwarfed by Tech having 539 more passing yards...
The battle in the trenches will never be more important than in this game.
Let's prove we're no longer susceptible to the "bad loss" that Seth wrote so much about this preseason!
WRECK 'EM TECH!
